Valle San Nicolás is a development on the outskirts of Valle de Bravo in the State of Mexico. It offers a privileged site for the new 370-hectare residential development, where the urban layout and every architectural element are designed in harmony with nature and with the aim of protecting the existing landscape.

Following the Seoul Metropolitan Government‘s announcement of reviving and expanding the city’s Olympic Jamsil Sports–MICE Complex, Heatherwick Studio has proposed a dynamic multi-leveled pier that promotes notions of “community spirit, activity, equality, play, and togetherness”. Titled The Leaf, the project will feature plant-covered platforms built on the Han River, and will offer visitors recreational and cultural spaces across a floating platform.

Amidst the green hills surrounding the city of Charleroi lies the sports centre ‘La ferme du Château’. This complex, split in two by a meandering street, comprises two distinct poles. The first one – Love pt. I, an old dependency of a castle – houses the administration and overnight accommodation of the centre. A bit higher on the hill, on a plateau backed by the forest and dominating the street, we find the second pole, Love pt. II, which englobes all the sporting facilities.

African nations are fighting climate change with an 8,0000 kilometer long Great Green Wall meant to combat the desertification of the Sahel region, home to over 100 million people. Spanning the entire width of the African continent, the movement aims to restore 100 million hectares of degraded land, sequester 250 million tonnes of carbon and create 10 million jobs in rural Africa by 2030. Stretching from Senegal in the West to Djibouti in the East, the project is the joint effort of 21 African nations that strive to restore the once lush region and protect the livelihoods of local communities.

Cities face much criticism with how they handle their car population, but have you ever thought about how much land use is dedicated to surface parking lots? In fact, it may be one of the most prominent features of the postwar city in the United States. Housing, community facilities, highway infrastructure, often garner much attention, but the amount of land dedicated just to park cars is astounding.

Words are rooting, just as do trees. The line is the root and the architecture the same as the word. The tree, as the rising child. The architecture is the border of living. Living between inside and outside. Each element is a term that, when collocates with others, creates a sentence of space.

A specialized shop selling and serving  Darjeeling tea close to Senkawa station in Toshima-ku Tokyo.  The shop consists of 3 separate areas, a seating area, kitchen, and storage to store tea leaves at a constant temperature. The shop is located at a corner of a residential area and in order to meet the owner’s request to build a store where customers can drop in casually, one corner of the shop is built with an open counter and another corner is fully opened to the street.
