September 22, 2018 witnessed the simultaneous opening of three offline new retail stores of Yitiao.tv in three shopping malls in Shanghai, followed by its ranking the No. 1 on the list of the most popular household commodities in Shanghai (from dianping.com) one month later. The concept of new retail was proposed by Jacky Ma in 2016, which was supposed to be the outcome of the combination of online, offline retails and logistics. Because the benefits arising from the Internet demographic dividend to the natural fans growth of e-commerce will hit a bottleneck over time. Under such a circumstance, Yitiao.tv decided to shift its business to offline markets, just as what the founder of Yitiao.tv said in an interview, “According to my personal estimation, the cost for getting a loyal customer through offline retail is only 10% of that through online retail”.

Commercial buildings hold major importance in the urban fabric of the rapidly developing areas of Rajkot. The brief called for a design of a sales pavilion for ‘The Spire 2’ commercial development at the ring road of the city. The simplicity of the brief and the context provided for various interpretations and explorations. The pavilion had to be quickly assembled for a short amount of time until the proposed commercial development is completely built. The program comprised of basic needs which included a meeting room, site engineer’s office, reception area, a pantry, and a restroom.

Rubio Store / Masquespacio

The RUBIO store, located in the center of Valencia (C/ Sorní, Nº9), the city that RUBIO has called home for over 60 years, is over 200 m2 in size, all designed by Masquespacio with a very recreational and interactive component that invites visitors to delve into the RUBIO universe. Starting with the spacious entrance, framed by bright yellow and blue neon signs, visitors are guided by a large counter towards the area of mathematics, writing and reading workbooks, close to the workshop training area.
