The former Telegraph Building in Tbilisi is a monumental piece of Georgia’s Soviet-era heritage. Designed in the 1960s by architects Lado Alexi-Meskhishvili and Teimuraz Mikashavidze and completed in the 1970s, this Brutalist landmark was awarded the State Prize of Georgia in 1983 along with the architects. Once serving as the city’s central post office and telegraph office, it was more than just an infrastructural hub, but also a nerve center for communication and a vital civic space where the community gathered, making it a powerful symbol of connection and public life.

In the quiet landscape of Prapashticë, Kasollet e Zanave—literally “Fairy Huts”—nestles where people, animals, and nature share the land, and simple architectural gestures gently build upon existing farm structures. The design approach developed by Maden Group is rooted in the concept of environmental interconnection; architecture acts as a mediator between people, nature, and tradition. Rather than replacing what existed, the project builds upon it, using natural materials and spatial strategies that emphasize continuity and authenticity.

Inspired by sci-fi set design, Gelato Messina Cronulla draws from romantic visions of the future. A grid of oversized, underlit circular lights hovers over a space that is many things at once: gritty, reflective, warm, and bold. Our fourth project with Gelato Messina, the brief was to evolve both the brand and the space—something unique and distinct from their other stores, something experimental and futuristic.
