Historic Memory
The Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant is where large-scale commercial nuclear power generation began in China. Over the past forty years, six nuclear power units have been built, progressing from technology introduction to independent development. This has led to the creation of a significant domestic nuclear power milestone. The Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant was constructed in the 1980s on top of the granite geological bedrock at Ma Ling Kok. The construction involved cutting mountains, digging rocks, and reclaiming land. The project is situated on one of the pits left by the quarrying. The mountainous landscape bears witness to the historical development of the nuclear power base, which has been restored and remodeled to create the Daya Bay Nuclear Science and Technology Museum. The landforms serve as a reminder of the changes that have taken place over time.
The retail store for IDUS is drawn from the idea of blurring the boundaries between a space and its experience. Tadao Ando’s once said–“the walls and the floor come together as a monolith and hence disappear–and what you’re left with is just the space to experience.” The design intent comes to question the nature of space, volume and perception to become an element of exploration. Light and the principles of Sciography come to play with this perceptual language, to guide the visitor and define the larger continuum of the space. The design welcomes us to interact with light and walk along its direction to head deeper into the space.
Haritha Retreat is a private residence that design accordance with the client’s personal need and contextual force. This house was designed for an extended family. The house is located in the congested residential hub in the city of Pepiliyana.

Architecture with creative space and change- The project is an advertising company office building in the site on the back road of Hakdong-ro, Gangnam-gu, and the biggest goal is to differentiate the building as a creative space from surrounding rental buildings that seek an economical floor area ratio.
The project begins with the perception of the place. More than just looking exclusively at the pre-existing building, it was important to look at the broader context, its potentialities, constraints, and the relationships established within it. These relationships support the inherent idea of the project. Located in Nandufe (Tondela), the house inspires itself from this place of traditions with history, translating them into new spatial and constructive approaches. It shapes itself with sobriety, flexibility, and balance to a contemporary lifestyle. Functionality merges with aesthetics, art, and natural elements. The house sustains the surrounding terrain, nestled in a small plot adjacent to the street, a public space that relates in a hybrid way to the private interior space. It alternates between closure and openness in a gradual and controlled transition.
