This cat café locates in the famous Tianzifang commercial area in Shanghai, it’s only has a narrow door connects with the street, main using space are located on the second and third floor. It’s not a typical commercial space design, it’s a renovation project of the old housing. Cats are the main users of the whole space every day. To provide a comfortable and playable space for cats and provide a chilling space for customers are the design target.
The installation “HE” located at the atrium of the show space of HUB, Shanghai. It was created as a part of the exhibition, China on Brush Tip/ Finger Tip, to carry forward the traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy art. A three-dimensional installation and accompanying video tried to convey the essence of calligraphy to audience in a brand new way.
Located in a fast-growing residential area, the Xinzhuang Center, is an exemplar of community daycare for the elderly that provides health rehabilitation, daycare services, meal delivery, house visits and consultation by phone when required.
Along with the expansion of modern city, original villages located in the edge of city have been turning into isolated islands in flourishing city. Urban village, resulting from population boom in modern China, exists in major cities as common case.
As a wooden floor brand, Ugan Concept has met a designing aporia with huge amounts of wood available: how to construct “a space of wood quality” instead of “a wooden” space, making “the quality of wood” a state and an atmosphere rather than “a material” and “functions of the material”? It’s like being in the forest, we would not concern about trees in a materialized way; instead, we will have self-perception aroused by the integrity generalized by the surroundings in which trees grow: the sense of smells, the touch of winds, the spots of lights, the distance of sounds and so on. The perception won’t come from anywhere else. We may call it “the experience of forest-quality”.
This project is located above the development axis of the HeFei Financial Business Central, along the South Fei River. This is an ideal location, giving the project tremendous possibilities for future development. By reconstructing the mixed-use building, we hope to redefine the architecture and landscape, as well as interior design and user interaction, thus reflecting the essence of contemporary cosmopolitan lifestyle.
Experiencing the “Zen” of lifestyle starts from learning to appreciate the DNA of each type of material: the sense of time conveyed by tree rings, the brushstroke textures reflected in the coating materials or maybe the resilience shown by twisting steel. Through design, we create an emotional effect that is in harmony with the client’s frame of mind.
The Pavilion is located at Tianyi Square, Ningbo. It covers an area of 178 square meters. The building presents an irregular geometrical form as a whole.The intention of facing the main entrance towards the entrance of the Tianyi Square is to enrich the city interface of the Square while keeping the commercial atmosphere intact.
Yufunan, rooted in Beijing Hutong, has seen its third chain store opened in Taikoo Li, Sanlitun, in the fourth year since its being established. Just like animals in migration, we’ve flooded into Taikoo Li, which is home to commerce. It is different from the Hutong-style way of life, so we’ve decided to evolve ourselves in a different designing thought.
