A Simple Terrace House is in the Windsor Park neighbourhood of Singapore and is composed of two pitched concrete forms containing the private bedrooms and attic terrace. A continuous aluminium screen wraps these volumes, mitigating the intense solar gain found on the tropical equator, while allowing deep penetration of daylight.
Pettanco House 2 is the second Pettanco and the first Pettanco is built four years ago on another place. Pettanco house 2 is located in Chino, Nagano, deep in the region referred to as the Japanese Alps. Surrounded by mountains the site is also provided with many rivers. The client is a landscape designer, in addition to the spaces of the house his special request was a workshop space to prepare his works. As he liked the system of Pettanco House 1, we decided to customize it. All to be achieved within the constraints of an efficient budget, so we kept a low height and simple shape in mind.
Inspired by the simple and prevalent image of wood docks found along the edges of the Muskoka lakes, the boathouse was conceived as a series of planar elements that slide past one another. The slippage of planes echoing the movement of water as it shifts course.
Itsu store in Rio de Janeiro was an interesting challenge: we needed to develop a project and quick work to meet the demands and deadlines of the mall, but at the same time, dialogue with the young and urban brand that Itsu represents.
At the foot of Cerro de la Nevería and in front of one of the best views of Mazatlan is this small building of only 8 x 8 meters.
The Royal College of Pathologists relocated to a new building designed by Bennetts Associates. The completion of the 4,500m2 building on Alie Street in East London marks the final step in the college’s move from a traditional Grade 1 listed building in St James to contemporary purpose-built premises. The design of the new building addresses the college’s mission to advance the science and practice of pathology and to better serve its membership.

Frankston Station is a gateway to the Mornington Peninsula and the primary transport hub for the centre of Frankston. The project forms part of the Victorian State Government’s circa $6.9b. Level Crossing Removal project and was delivered by the North Western Program Alliance, with construction overseen by the Level Crossing Removal Authority. The Frankston Station project delivers the Office of the Victorian Government Architect competition brief that called for a building that could both satisfy the requirements of a functioning station and improve amenity for commuters.
This two-story home is our first in Venice and our two young clients gave us one simple directive: “don’t f*ck it up”. Given such freedom, we approached the project aiming to create a space that would make the most of its tight Venice lot. We designed a solid mass punctuated by welcoming voids, providing a sense of both privacy and openness.
