Casa Chouso is located in Casal de S. Brás, a humble village that is part of Ansião, on a piece of land with a superb view over both the village and the hills of Sicó (Serras da Sicó).

Upon entering the property, the visitor sees the pool inserted on the shores of the lake and a rectangular block of 36.5 linear meters!
The house is located on a large plot of 3075m2 and was designed linearly in the highest part to enjoy the landscape and take advantage of an extensive front retreat with the water mirror provided by the pool and the lawn to the limits of the lot.
We Coffee is an oriental-influenced coffee shop, with personalized products and a diverse menu of confident coffees, teas, sweets, and snacks.

In an artery connecting the city centre to its suburbs, where individual houses are being demolished daily to leave place for bigger housing developments, conceiving a new individual house is a delicate task. The façades of the project stemmed from a rough conjugation of both building types, sitting in a fragile ambiguity. A rational order, following the logic of the plans is superimposed with a set of seemingly inordinate elements: row windows, erratic marble frontons, seemingly arbitrary drainpipes and pink marble discs unbalancing the composition. The house is an exercise on uniqueness as much as it is an exercise on banality.
The intervention brought a new life to this old complex composed of three isolated volumes, enhancing urban life and renewing an area of the city currently being transformed.
When the client came to us to help him with the renovation of his apartment, his main wish was to have a wide and spacious living room where he could fit his books, music equipment, and projector and at the same time gather his friends comfortably. As he was very fond of cooking, he also wanted a comfortable kitchen that could fit the equipment and have more space to cook. Since the apartment was old but had already undergone a complete renovation, we focused on these main spaces and the second bedroom, which became an office and guest room.
The Hangar was designed in 2020 to house a collection of historic planes from the 30s to 70s. The clients, who visited historic hangars in other countries, requested a building that resembled the old hangars, which were built in wood structures with galvanized tiles.
Marinho da Serra (MS) house is located in a rural area of Serra da Moeda, a natural monument listed by the state heritage of Minas Gerais. The site belongs to a peasant family that has lived in the region since the 19th century and has an orchard with banana trees, mango trees, and bamboo groves.
