Footings Details and Descriptions

Footings are the lowest parts of the buildings. Usually, these ground levels are divided into three groups: isolated/pad footing, strip footing, and raft/mat footing. Firstly, isolated/pad footing is a part which supports columns. These can be square, circular or rectangular. Secondly, the strip footing represents a strip of concrete which carries the load. Thirdly, raft/mat footing is a continuous footing that supports the whole structure. Also, these are called foundation mats.
