Equilibrium in Construction – Stability of Structure and Building

Giant sliding doors allow occupants to take in the sunrise and sunset from this modest boathouse that was overhauled by American studio Hoedemaker Pfeiffer. The Hood Canal Boat House is located along the Hood Canal, a scenic waterway in northern Washington that connects to the Puget Sound. The structure sits on a forested site owned by

Equilibrium is a state that any structure need to be in so it would be stable and strong. Any kind of alteration in structure geometry can change it. As well as the structural component under compression: it’s leading to the loss of capacity to resist and that’s defined as instability.  This state could result to catastrophic breakdowns which must be seriously considered in the phase of design.Equilibrium in Construction - Stability of Structure and Building

The images bellow will show you some sketches which are defining the needed states of the structures so they would give the best results needed for the construction. The link bellow would explain it better.
